K-State Clinches Sweepstakes Award at 2009 CASE Conference

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Advancement professionals at Kansas State University took home the 2009 Sweepstakes Award from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) announced Jan. 26 at the District 6 meeting in Kansas City. K-State clinched 17 individual awards, the most for any school in its division of colleges and universities with enrollment of 7,500 or more students, to claim top honors. The university also received the Sweepstakes Award in 2006.

“This is very exciting for our university,” said K-State President Jon Wefald. “This is a great accomplishment for K-State, and I am certainly proud of our staff for their efforts not only on these winning entries, but for everything they do.”

The K-State Alumni Association won eight awards and three awards were presented to each of the following university units – the KSU Foundation, University Publications and the College ofTechnology and Aviation at Salina.
