KAHN INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN DISCUSSION BY NATIONAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION

SALINA, KAN. - Saeed Khan, head of Kansas State University at Salina’s engineering technology department, has been selected to participate in a discussion about successful articulation models between two-year and four-year technology programs.

Khan will be one of 30 participants from institutions and organizations who will explore factors that promote or inhibit students from transferring from 2-year to 4-year technology programs. Participants will respond to the findings of recent studies and identify potential research areas that will further the development of guidelines for successful articulation processes between 2-year and 4-year technology programs

The workshop is part of a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant awarded through the Advanced Technological Education program to the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology to study successful articulation/transfer models.

The workshop, hosted by the National Science Foundation, will be held Friday, August 14, 2009 in Baltimore.
